Description
Allergy to this drug occurs quite often and can vary from skin rash, urticaria (on the skin and mucous membranes), itching, to severe allergic reactions such as angioedema and anaphylactic shock. The determination of specific immunoglobulin E to this allergen in increased amounts indicates the presence of organism sensitization to it.
The study is conducted only for type 1 allergic reactions. A negative test result cannot guarantee the absence of an allergic reaction of another type.
