Description
Quantitative determination in the blood of specific antibodies, class E immunoglobulins, appearing in the presence of an allergic reaction to beef. This analysis is used: for the diagnosis of allergic diseases (food allergy, atopic dermatitis, bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis, respiratory allergosis); to assess the risk of developing allergic reactions to beef. This analysis is prescribed: in the presence of the following symptoms indicating an allergic nature when consuming beef: nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhea, redness and itching of the skin, angioedema, laryngeal edema, cough and bronchospasm, rhinoconjunctivitis, etc.; when it is impossible to discontinue drugs for the treatment of the underlying disease, since they can affect the results of skin testing; with lesions of the skin, in the acute period of the disease; with a polyvalent nature of sensitization, when it is not possible to conduct in vivo testing with suspected allergens; with a false positive or false negative result of skin testing; to children if their parents suffer from allergic diseases; to children under the age of 5 (if skin tests cannot be performed).
