Description
Orange, as an etiological factor of food allergy, is classified as having a high degree of allergenic activity (without taking into account individual characteristics). The most common manifestations are skin diseases (atopic dermatitis, urticaria, Quincke's edema), respiratory organs (allergic rhinitis, asthma), and less often - the digestive system (allergic stomatitis, cheilitis, gastritis, colitis, gastroenteritis). Determination of specific immunoglobulin E to this allergen in increased amounts indicates an acute allergic reaction (immediate hypersensitivity).
