Description
Alpha-lactalbumin causes the slow development of food intolerance symptoms (not earlier than 3-5 days after consuming dairy products).
This test is used to diagnose food intolerance to milk components, specifically alpha-lactalbumin. Food intolerance occurs more frequently than food allergy and proceeds as an allergic reaction involving specific immunoglobulins G (IgG-mediated). This leads to the development of hidden food allergy – delayed-type allergy, which is more dangerous because external clinical manifestations of the disease develop slowly (up to several days), and quite often, they may be absent for a long time. Slowly progressing pathological processes in the body's organs and tissues can often lead to chronic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory, nervous systems, and skin, and can also have a negative impact on the mental sphere (depression, hyperexcitability in children).
