Allergen f83 - Chicken Meat, IgE (ImmunoCAP)

Description

Quantitative determination of specific immunoglobulins E in the blood, appearing in the presence of sensitization to chicken meat. Performing this study is safe for the patient compared to skin tests (in vivo), as it excludes patient contact with the allergen. Intake of antihistamines and age-related characteristics do not affect the quality and accuracy of the study. This analysis is used: for diagnostics of sensitization to chicken meat in patients with allergic diseases (food allergy, acute and chronic urticaria, angioedema, atopic dermatitis, bronchial asthma and allergic rhinitis); to assess the risk of allergic reactions to chicken meat. This analysis is prescribed: in the presence of the following symptoms indicating an allergic nature when consuming chicken meat: redness and itching of the skin, rash, angioedema, laryngeal edema, cough and bronchospasm, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhea; in the presence of allergy to chicken eggs, as well as to meat, feathers and eggs of other birds (suspected "bird-egg" syndrome); with polyvalent sensitization; with doubtful results of skin testing and provocation tests.
