Description
Celery as an etiological factor in food allergy is considered to have a high degree of allergenic activity (without taking individual characteristics into account). Allergy can manifest as diseases of the digestive system (allergic stomatitis, cheilitis, gastritis, colitis, gastroenteritis, irritable bowel syndrome), skin (atopic dermatitis, urticaria, angioedema), and, more rarely, the respiratory organs (allergic rhinitis, asthma). In the case of severe sensitization, anaphylactic shock is possible. In children, an allergic reaction often manifests as diathesis.
