Description
Banana is classified as a hypoallergenic food, but allergic reactions can still occur upon consumption, manifesting as rash, edema, stomach discomfort, asthma, and eczema. Cross-allergy to tree pollen is quite frequently observed. Elevated levels of specific immunoglobulin E to this allergen indicate an acute allergic reaction (immediate hypersensitivity).
