Description
Quantitative determination in blood of specific antibodies, class E immunoglobulins, appearing in the presence of an allergic reaction to peach. Peaches as an etiological factor of food allergy are classified as having a moderate degree of allergenizing activity (without taking into account individual characteristics). Most commonly encountered manifestations include diseases of the digestive system (allergic stomatitis, cheilitis, gastritis, colitis, gastroenteritis), skin (atopic dermatitis, urticaria, Quincke's edema), and respiratory organs (allergic rhinitis, asthma). Cross-allergy to tree pollen (birch, alder, hazel) and latex is often observed.
