Description
The main allergen of the mosquito is its saliva, which enters the human body through the bite of this insect. In addition, during a mosquito bite, metabolic products may also enter the human body, which can also cause sensitization of the organism to these antigens. Manifestations of allergy can be both local reactions in the form of allergic dermatitis, and systemic ones – urticaria, Quincke's edema, anaphylactic shock. The determination of specific immunoglobulin E to this allergen in an increased amount indicates the presence of sensitization of the organism to this allergen.
