Description
The main allergen of the mosquito is its saliva, which enters the human body through the bite of this insect. In addition, during a mosquito bite, its metabolic products may also enter the human body, which can also cause sensitization of the organism to these antigens. Manifestations of allergy can be both local reactions in the form of allergic dermatitis, and systemic ones: urticaria, Quincke's edema, anaphylactic shock. Determination of specific IgG in the blood primarily indicates that there is a constant, periodic intake of this allergen into the body; moreover, it is believed that an increased concentration of specific IgG in the blood contributes to a decrease in the manifestations of immediate-type allergic reactions mediated by IgE, and the formation of delayed-type hypersensitivity.
