Description
Analysis for the determination of specific immunoglobulins E in the blood to nickel, a metal often used in dentistry, as well as orthopedics. The analysis is able to detect only the active form of allergy, when the body has already encountered nickel and has a pool of produced IgE. Thus, a negative test result is not a guarantee that an allergic reaction to this metal will not develop. The study is conducted only for type 1 allergic reactions. A negative test result cannot guarantee the absence of another type of allergic reaction.
