Description
Analysis for the determination of specific immunoglobulins E in the blood to gold - a metal that is used in dentistry, and can also act as a household allergen (when wearing gold jewelry). The analysis is capable of detecting only the active form of allergy, when the body has already encountered gold and has a pool of accumulated IgE. Thus, a negative test result is not a guarantee that an allergic reaction to this metal will not develop. The study is conducted only for type 1 allergic reactions. A negative test result cannot guarantee the absence of an allergic reaction of another type.
