Description
An analysis for the determination of specific immunoglobulins E in blood to acrylic – a component of many medical products, particularly gloves. Acrylic can act as an occupational allergen for medical workers, as well as for people who encounter this material in everyday life or due to production necessity. The analysis is capable of detecting only the active form of allergy, when the body has already encountered acrylic and has a pool of produced IgE. Thus, a negative test result is not a guarantee that an allergic reaction to this material will not develop. The study is conducted only for type 1 allergic reactions. A negative test result cannot guarantee the absence of another type of allergic reaction.
