Description
Allergy to formaldehyde is quite common. Formaldehyde is widely used in many industries, and in case of organism sensitization to this allergen, this should be kept in mind, and contact with this substance should be avoided if possible. An allergic reaction can manifest as respiratory allergoses (allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis); contact dermatitis; in severe cases, attacks of asphyxia, urticaria, Quincke's edema. The determination of specific immunoglobulin E to this allergen in increased amounts indicates the presence of organism sensitization to this allergen.
