Description
Staphylococcal enterotoxin A is by nature a protein with a molecular weight of 24-30 Kd, which acts as an allergen. Manifestations of allergic reactions to staphylococcal enterotoxin A can be atopic dermatitis, allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, digestive system diseases (allergic stomatitis, cheilitis, gastritis, colitis, gastroenteritis). The determination of specific IgG in the blood primarily indicates that the intake of this allergen into the body is occurring; furthermore, it is believed that an elevated concentration of specific IgG in the blood contributes to the reduction of manifestations of immediate-type allergic reactions mediated by IgE and to the formation of delayed-type hypersensitivity.
