Allergen t12 - White Willow, IgE

Description

Pollen allergy is the most common type of allergy, which, generally has a seasonal character and overlaps with the flowering periods of plants to whose pollen sensitization is present. The development of an allergy to white willow pollen is directly linked to its flowering period (late April – late May). Cases of cross-allergic reaction to the pollen of birch, beech, alder, hazel, and some food allergens (apples, pears, peaches, cherries, kiwi, hazelnuts, and walnuts) occur quite frequently. The allergy manifests as profuse lacrimation, nasal discharge, less commonly skin manifestations, and in severe cases, asthma attacks, urticaria, Quincke's edema, or seasonal pollen dermatitis with intense itching and various rashes. The determination of specific immunoglobulin E to this allergen in increased amounts indicates the presence of sensitization of the organism to this allergen.
