Description
A study allowing simultaneous determination of the presence of sensitization to 112 allergen components from 51 allergen sources. During the study, the presence of specific immunoglobulin class E to food, pollen, epidermal allergens, mold fungi, and insect allergens is determined. The result of the study is issued in a semi-quantitative form. This analysis is used: for the primary diagnosis of allergic diseases; for screening detection of sensitization to a wide range of allergens; when allergen component diagnostics is necessary – detection of true or cross-sensitization; selection of patients for allergen-specific immunotherapy (ASIT). It is recommended to use the ImmunoCAP Allergochip in the following cases: examination to select the direction of search for the causative allergen; vague symptoms and history of the disease; difficulties in choosing treatment or lack of response to therapy; inability to determine the causative allergen; polysensitized patients; study of primary or cross-reactivity; complex selection of a drug for ASIT in polysensitized patients.
