Anti-perinuclear factor is a variety of antibodies to cyclic citrullinated peptide, determined in rheumatoid arthritis and is a marker of its aggressive course. These antibodies are formed against epithelial cell components and react with synthetic peptides isolated from citrulline-containing profilaggrin.
