Description
Detection of IgM class antibodies is used for disease diagnosis and monitoring of therapy. The rise of anti-IgM begins 2 weeks after infection, reaching a maximum by day 28-36 after the bite of an infected tick. Often, an elevated antibody titer may persist for a year, especially during the transition of the infection to a chronic course.
The titer and PC (positivity coefficient) are provided for positive results.
