Description
IgG class antibodies appear in the blood within the first two weeks after the pathogen enters the body. High concentrations are observed most often in systemic candidiasis; in local lesions, the level of IgG in the blood is generally low. The increase in antibody concentration is observed over several weeks, decreases after treatment, but can remain at a relatively high level for many years after the illness. To diagnose an exacerbation of chronic infection, it is important to monitor the dynamics of antibody levels in the blood. Only multiple increases in their concentration have diagnostic value.
