Description
The main serological laboratory test for the diagnosis and monitoring of Helicobacter pylori infection therapy. Class G immunoglobulins are detected in the vast majority of cases of Helicobacter pylori infection, regardless of the extent of mucosal colonization. They persist in the blood for up to two years after the eradication of the pathogen. A decrease in titer by 20% or more within 30-40 days after therapy is considered significant for treatment monitoring.
