Description
Clonorchis sinensis, IgG is the determination of class G immunoglobulins (IgG) to the causative agent of clonorchiasis. Clonorchiasis is especially common in China (another name for Clonorchis is the Chinese liver fluke) and other Asian countries, as well as in the east and northeast of Russia. Human infection occurs through the consumption of raw river fish containing helminth metacercariae. The test is recommended in the following situations: 1. History of consumption of large amounts of raw river fish in a clonorchiasis-endemic area. 2. Detection of signs of dilation of peripheral intrahepatic ducts by ultrasound or CT scan in the absence of any other signs of obstruction.
