Antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus (COVID-19), nucleocapsid (N) protein, IgG, qualitative (high-sensiti

Description

A blood test for antibodies to the causative agent of COVID-19 is performed to assess the immune response to a current or past infection. Class G immunoglobulins (IgG) begin to appear in the blood approximately 3-4 weeks after infection and may persist for a long time. Detection of IgG antibodies indicates a previously contracted infection. As a rule, during the disease, antibodies are produced to both the nucleocapsid (N) and the spike (S) protein of the coronavirus. Detection of IgG to the nucleocapsid (N) protein makes it possible to judge the presence of a specific immune response to COVID-19 formed after the disease. Highly sensitive methods for the detection of antibodies to the causative agent of COVID-19 are especially recommended for people suffering from chronic, autoimmune, or oncological diseases. The result is issued in a qualitative format: "positive"/"negative".
