Description
The test is used to diagnose the disease or to detect asymptomatic bacteria carriers. The primary immune response in meningococcal infection is characterized by the appearance of antibodies on the 2nd-3rd day from the onset of the disease, the highest titers are detected on the 6th-10th day, and antibodies are not detected in the blood 1.5-2 months after the disease. Often, an increased titer can be observed without clinical manifestations of the disease, which is characteristic of asymptomatic bacteria carriers.
