Description
IgA class antibodies to the causative agent of respiratory mycoplasmosis (Mycoplasma pneumoniae) are specific immunoglobulins produced in the body during the period of pronounced clinical manifestations of respiratory mycoplasmosis and are an indicator of current disease. IgA are produced 10-15 days after infection. In general, they appear later than IgM and are considered mainly as a marker of exacerbation of chronic infection or as an additional serological marker of acute infection, only in combination with other types of antibodies.
