Description
During primary infection with Mycoplasma pneumoniae, IgG class antibodies appear on the 14-20th day of clinical manifestations and persist in high titers for several months. After recovery, they may be detected in the blood at low concentrations for several years. In case of reinfection, a 4-fold increase in the titer of antibodies of this class is diagnostically significant. Simultaneous determination of IgG, IgA, and IgM is recommended.
