Description
Detection of IgG class antibodies using ELISA is the main method for early diagnosis of opisthorchiasis and allows detecting the pathogen even before it starts producing eggs. In the presence of chronic carriage of the pathogen, this study must be confirmed by parasitological diagnostic methods. Persons with a low titer (within the "gray zone") should undergo serological testing every 3 months to evaluate the results over time.
