Description
Anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide antibodies are autoantibodies that interact with synthetic peptides containing the atypical amino acid citrulline. The test is used for the diagnosis of early rheumatoid arthritis, confirmation of the diagnosis of seronegative rheumatoid arthritis, differential diagnosis from other rheumatic diseases, and for predicting the course of severe erosive joint damage.
