Description
5-7 days before the onset of symptoms of viral hepatitis A, anti-HAV IgM are detected in the blood serum of all patients and persist for about 2 months. In the early convalescence period, the titer of anti-HAV IgM decreases somewhat, and after a few months, these antibodies are completely eliminated from the blood. The test is used for early diagnosis of viral hepatitis A.
