Description
Anti-cardiolipin antibodies represent the main fraction of antibodies to cell membrane phospholipids, which is a leading indicator of the presence of antiphospholipid syndrome. Antibodies from the antinuclear factor group are detected in many autoimmune diseases and are also one of the markers of APS. Joint examination of these two indicators can be used both for screening the disease in persons at risk for its development, and in combination with other tests for the diagnosis and monitoring of APS.
The examination includes:
Antinuclear factor on HEp-2 cells
Anti-cardiolipin antibodies, IgG and IgM
