Intestinal dysbiosis

Description

Microbiological examination that allows evaluating the composition of the intestinal microflora – the concentration and ratio of "beneficial", opportunistic pathogenic, and pathogenic microorganisms in feces, determining the specific activity of main probiotics against detected microorganisms, and their sensitivity to bacteriophages and antibiotics.
Normal intestinal microflora ("beneficial" bacteria) includes lactobacilli, bifidobacteria, enterococci, E. coli (typical), anaerobic flora (bacteroides). Opportunistic flora includes enterobacteria, non-fermenting bacteria, staphylococci, anaerobic bacteria (clostridia), fungi. Pathogenic microorganisms are Salmonella, Shigella, pathogenic Escherichia.

If pathogenic and/or opportunistic microorganisms are detected, their sensitivity to antimicrobial drugs (antibiotics and bacteriophages) and probiotics will be determined. When microorganisms constituting normal microflora are detected, sensitivity to antibiotics and bacteriophages is not determined because it has no diagnostic value.

* Please note that a special container with a nutrient medium is required for the analysis.

* The set of antibiotics depends on the isolated microorganism and the commercial test system currently provided by the manufacturer according to modern guidelines / available for procurement in this region.
