Description
The analysis is used for the diagnosis of enterovirus infection, allowing the isolation of the pathogen's genetic material from various types of biomaterial, depending on the localization of the pathological process. More than 70 varieties of enteroviruses are distinguished. Depending on the type, the pathogen leads to the development of lesions of the central nervous system, gastrointestinal tract, muscles, joints, or myocardium and proceeds in the form of epidemic myalgia, serous meningitis, myocarditis, enterovirus diarrhea, or hemorrhagic conjunctivitis.
