Description
Hemochromatosis is a polysystemic disease inherited in an autosomal recessive manner. It is caused by a genetic defect that leads to increased iron absorption.
The genetic study is aimed at detecting the main mutations in the HFE gene (C282Y, H63D, S65C), responsible for the development of hereditary type 1 hemochromatosis. The results of the study allow identifying the cause of the development of this pathology and prescribing timely and adequate treatment.
