Genetic risk of developing hyperglycemia

Description

Elevated blood glucose levels (hyperglycemia) are the main cause of the development of diabetes mellitus due to a combination of unfavorable acquired (overweight, improper nutrition, stress, hormonal disorders) and hereditary factors. Analysis of the most common genetic markers of predisposition to hyperglycemia, associated with the regulation of glucose metabolism, allows assessing the risk of the disease and preventing its development with appropriate preventive and therapeutic measures.

Genetic markers investigated: KCNJ11 (C67T), MTNR1B (C(g.37979623)T).

Test results are issued with an interpretation by a geneticist.
