Genetic risk of developing hypertension

Description

Hypertension (high blood pressure) is a fairly common disease that many do not pay attention to until old age. However, even in middle age, it can lead to significant health disorders due to increased stress on the cardiovascular system. Predisposing factors for hypertension include a sedentary lifestyle, poor diet, stress, hormonal disorders, as well as genetic (hereditary) predisposition to this disease. It is against the background of genetic predisposition to hypertension that external factors exert the most significant influence on the development of the disease. Genetic analysis to determine the risk of developing hypertension involves the study of 9 genetic markers that allow identifying disorders in the regulation of blood pressure, heart muscle activity and its blood supply, corticosteroid metabolism, differentiation of lymphocytes and fibroblasts, and regulation of vascular wall tone. Knowledge of genetic predisposition to hypertension will help to adjust lifestyle in time to avoid serious health problems in the future.

Tested genetic markers: ADD1 (G1378T ), AGT (T704C), AGT (C521T), AGTR1 (A1166C), AGTR2 (G1675A), CYP11B2 (C(-344)T), GNB3 (С825Т), NOS3 (T(-786)C), NOS3 (G894T).

The examination results are issued with an interpretation by a geneticist.
