In Situ Hybridization (FISH, CISH, SISH) - using 1 probe

Description

Cytogenetic analysis for assessing the patient's HER2 status using in situ hybridization (ISH) methods – FISH or its analogs (CISH, SISH). Allows detecting the presence or absence of specific DNA sequences in chromosomes.
FISH (fluorescent in situ hybridization) is used to detect HER2 gene amplification using fluorochrome-labeled DNA probes using a fluorescent microscope.
CISH (chromogenic in situ hybridization) is an alternative non-fluorescent method, in which hybridized DNA probes are detected using an immunoperoxidase reaction. Allows detecting HER2 gene amplification taking into account the morphological picture of the tissue under a conventional light microscope.
SISH is a variation of the CISH method; a fully automated method where a silver label is used to detect the HER2 gene, and hybridization in the tissue is carried out with silver precipitation (silver-enhanced in situ hybridization, SISH).
