Description
Normally, glucose is practically absent in urine, as it is completely reabsorbed in the renal tubules. When its concentration in the blood rises above certain values (10 mmol/L), glucose begins to be actively excreted from the body by the kidneys. The test is used for the diagnosis and monitoring of diabetes mellitus and kidney pathology.
