Glucose tolerance test (extended)

Determination of fasting plasma glucose levels and every 30 minutes for 2 hours after a glucose challenge, used for the diagnosis of diabetes mellitus, impaired glucose tolerance, and impaired fasting glycemia. Test results are provided with a free physician commentary. This test is not available at all Helix Centers. Please check the list of Centers where this test is performed with the Contact Center. In Helix, this test is not performed for individuals under 18 years of age or for pregnant women; for pregnant women, a separate study is available – [06-259] Glucose Tolerance Test in Pregnancy. Prior to the GTT, a glucose express test (90-268 Express diagnostics of blood glucose level) must be performed.
