Glucose Tolerance Test with C-Peptide in Blood

Examination aimed at determining fasting blood plasma glucose and C-peptide levels, and levels 2 hours after a carbohydrate load, for the diagnosis of various carbohydrate metabolism disorders (diabetes mellitus, impaired glucose tolerance, impaired fasting glycemia), as well as for the primary differential diagnosis of the type of diabetes mellitus. The test is not available at all Helix Centers. Please check the list of Centers where the test is performed with the Contact Center. In Helix, the test is not performed on persons under 18 years of age or on pregnant women; there is a separate study for pregnant women – [06-259] Glucose Tolerance Test in Pregnancy. Before the GTT study, an express glucose test must be performed (90-268 Express blood glucose diagnostics).
