Description
Examination of tissue cells, performed using special reagents.
It is performed only if there is a ready micropreparation on a glass slide and a tissue sample in a paraffin block, as well as a histological conclusion for them.
Conducting any immunohistochemical study (IHC) requires a preliminary assessment of the histological picture by a pathologist, for which a routine histological examination of the material is first performed. The data obtained allow selecting the necessary IHC technique, the types of antibodies used, and formulating the final histological diagnosis. (Preliminary study 12-065 "Consultation of biopsy (surgical) material of any complexity group (based on finished material, 1 slide)" is not required if this is an additional order to a histology previously performed at Helix, as a result of which IHC is recommended).
