Description
Determination of p16 oncoprotein expression on the surface of epithelial cells for cervical cancer screening using immunocytochemical examination. Cytological examination is aimed at identifying additional diagnostic signs of the risk of developing cervical cancer.
Requires preliminary liquid-based cytology. Performed together with test [12-051] "Liquid-based cytology. Examination of cervical and cervical canal scraping (Papanicolaou staining)" or upon presentation of Papanicolaou-stained slides.
The PAP test is not performed as part of this examination.
