Description
Characterization of the ratio and physiological properties of various types of blood cellular elements: erythrocytes, leukocytes, and platelets. The clinical blood analysis determines such indicators as hematocrit (the ratio of the volume of erythrocytes to the total volume of blood), hemoglobin concentration, and platelet count. The physiological properties of erythrocytes are also investigated: their shape, color, presence of inclusions, hemoglobin concentration in a single erythrocyte, and indicators of anisocytosis (differences in erythrocyte volume).
