Description
The presence of the V600E mutation in the BRAF gene is a predictor of response to combination targeted therapy with BRAF/MEK tyrosine kinase inhibitors in patients with resectable and unresectable stage III and stage IV cutaneous melanoma. Determination of the NRAS gene mutation is recommended for patients with unresectable stage III and stage IV cutaneous melanoma to allow for therapy personalization.
