Description
Investigation of POLE gene mutations and microsatellite instability (MSI) is recommended for all patients with endometrial cancer to determine the molecular subtype of the tumor for the purpose of personalizing treatment. The presence of MSI is a predictor of response to immunotherapy with anti-PD-1 antibodies in patients with recurrent and metastatic endometrial cancer.
