Description
An increase in the number of triplet repeats (expansion) in unstable regions of the genome is the cause of Huntington-like disease development: Huntington-like disease (HDL) type 2 (detection of expansion in the JPH3 gene), HDL type 4 (detection of expansion in the TBP gene), and dentatorubral-pallidoluysian atrophy (detection of expansion in the ATN1 gene).
