Description
Group B vitamins are water-soluble vitamins, vital micronutrients necessary for normal cell function, tissue respiration, metabolism of proteins, fats and carbohydrates, the function of various enzymatic systems of the body, and redox processes. Prolonged deficiency of Group B vitamins has a serious negative impact on human health and the functions of almost all organs.
The analysis is used to diagnose deficiency and hypervitaminosis of Group B vitamins, and to assess nutritional balance. The analysis is prescribed for malabsorption syndrome associated with gastrointestinal tract diseases (celiac disease, inflammatory bowel diseases, pathology of the pancreas, conditions after resection of the stomach and/or small intestine); in the presence of clinical signs of Group B vitamin deficiency (dermatitis, prolonged diarrhea, erosions and frequent trauma to mucous membranes, cheilitis, stomatitis, neurological disorders); when examining patients with hypotrophy, alcoholism, or those on parenteral nutrition.
