Description
The complete blood count is the percentage ratio of various white blood cell types in blood serum and the calculation of their number per unit volume. In the presence of atypical cell forms, a blood examination under a microscope is performed. Unlike red blood cells, the population of which is homogeneous, white blood cells are divided into 5 types that differ in appearance and their functions: neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, and basophils.
