Description
Urticaria (hives) is a group of diseases characterized by the development of wheals and/or angioedemas. Urticaria can be a manifestation of various diseases, including mastocytosis and cryopyrin-associated periodic syndromes. Detection of the pathogenic D816V variant of the c-KIT gene is performed for the diagnosis of mastocytosis, and detection of pathogenic variants in exon 3 of the NLRP3 gene is used for the diagnosis of cryopyrinopathies.
