Description
Molybdenum compounds enter the body with food. Molybdenum is part of a number of enzymes (aldehyde oxidase, xanthine oxidase) that perform important physiological functions (regulation of uric acid metabolism), and also contributes to the stimulation of hematopoiesis. Molybdenum accumulation occurs in the liver. Soluble molybdenum compounds are excreted from the body with urine and feces.
