Description
Telomeres are the end sections of chromosomes that protect DNA during the cell division process. They shorten with each division until the moment comes when the cell is unable to divide. With age, telomere length decreases, which is a cause of cellular aging. Measuring telomere length allows evaluating the process of cellular aging and the correspondence or discrepancy of telomere size to biological age.
